Warren doubts Obama will sway many evangelicals
flockwoodThe God-o-Meter has a very interesting interview with Saddleback Church pastor Rick Warren. It sounds like Warren wasn’t impressed with Barack Obama’s answer regarding when human life begins. ["That's above my pay grade," Brother Obama reportedly said. Brother McCain said human life begins at conception.]

So Warren wasn’t impressed with Obama’s desire not to get embroiled in a controversy that can’t possibly help him. Perhaps he was more impressed with McCain’s mouthing of a formulaic response that is meant only to pander to the pro-life crowd without dealing with the realities of modern life. I don’t imagine the rabbis, who are probably smarter than Obama and McCain put together, would have thought much of either answer, though they would have respected the political canniness behind Obama’s.

The Supreme court is set, Roe vs wade hasn’t been overturned, I would agree with you 100 percent Caleb.

For a politician who will represent us to the world, I think Obama has the right balance of views, even though my theological views are more conservative than his. Still voting for Obama. Peace.
