I’ve discovered a new product on the market called a “Soaking Kit.” It’s not a garden hose, a detachable nozzle and a gallon of H20. It won’t help you grow healthy fruits and vegetables.

No, a “soaking kit” is supposed to be Miracle Gro for the heart and soul and it sells for $60.

The Soaking Kit is sold by the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship, a church that got famous in the late 1990s as the home of the “Toronto Blessing” revival. After attending the church, people claimed that their enamel dental fillings had turned to gold. I’m not making this up — you can read about it, thanks to BBC by clicking here.

At the Toronto church, people also engaged in what they termed “holy laughter” — a practice guaranteed to give Southern Baptists (and even some Pentecostals) the heebie-jeebies.“> (Click here to see an example of “holy laughter.”)

Now the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship is selling “Soaking Kits.” The kits teach you how to engage in “soaking prayer.” Soaking prayer is apparently a mixture of Western prayer and Eastern meditation performed, preferably, while lying down. “The way to know God is through peace and stillness,” the church’s website explains.

And the Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship’s kit will teach you how to perform “soaking prayers” properly. Or, if you have time, you can attend a “soaking prayer” school, or a “School of Supernatural Miracles and Healing” or a “Prophetic School” or a “Dreams Interpretation” school.
