The Top 10 Power Brokers of the Christian Right
flockwoodChurch and State Magazine, which is affiliated with Americans United for the Separation of Church and State, has compiled a list of the “top 10 power brokers” of the Christian Right. Pat Robertson and James Dobson top the list, but many of the others aren’t household names.
(Click here to read the list.)
These types of lists are highly subjective, of course. I would’ve included Charisma Magazine publisher Stephen Strang, who made Time Magazine’s list of the Top 25 Most Influential Evangelicals. Strang and his son, Cameron, were courted by presidential candidates from both parties (including Barack Obama and Mike Huckabee.) Cameron Strang, publisher of Relevant Magazine, was even invited to give an invocation at the Democratic National Convention in Denver. (He backed out at the last minute…)
Are there any other big names that were left off the list?
