The Rev. Kevin G. Thew Forrester has received a strong vote of confidence from the high desert of Oregon. “I am informed by the President of our Standing Committee that Kevin was ‘enthusiastically’ affirmed,” reports the Rev. Canon Lee Kiefer of the Episcopal Diocese of Eastern Oregon.

Rev. Thew Forrester and his wife, Rise Thew Forrester, formerly served in the diocese, which stretches from the Cascade mountain range east to the Idaho border.

Thew Forrester now has 28 “yes” votes from standing committees and 55 “no votes.” He must receive each of the remaining 28 votes in order to receive consent. He also must receive support from a majority of the nation’s jurisdictional bishops.
