Christian Book Expo flops
flockwoodOrganizers had expected 15,000 to 20,000 to attend the Dallas event. Instead, roughly 1,500 book buyers showed up, Publisher’s Weekly reports.
This was supposed to be the first annual Christian Book Expo. It may end up being the last annual Christian Book Expo, too….

This was sponsored by the “Evangelical Christian Publishers Association,” according to the story. I guess those evangelicals don’t read much, or at least much that’s new; maybe the publishers didn’t stock enough copies of the Left Behind series or Rick Warren’s latest glurge, or the latest incarnation of the NIV.
