I can understand the church not wanting this money, using money thats not expendable in the first place creates conflict on accepting the cash. On the other hand 600k would pay a lot of electric bills and feed a lot of people.

That’s right, perplexed, and you’ve got to ask yourself what other donations they accept.
Baptists don’t believe in drinking. Yet half of those farmers in Western Kentucky who grow corn to make Bourbon whiskey are baptist. Does that mean the baptist churches in the area don’t take their tithes?
I’m sure that Las Vegas is full of baptists, who don’t agree with gambling. Do they take tithes from janitors who work at casinos? Most baptists don’t believe in drinking or smoking; do they take tithes from people who work at convenience stores which sell lots of beer and cigarettes?
Inquiring minds want to know . . .
